Pick and place with 2 igus Robolink jointed-arm robots

Automated quality inspection and sorting of metal components

In this application, 2 igus Robolink DP5 jointed-arm robots were used to automate a quality and sorting process.

For this, the first robot picks up the workpiece and holds it in the machine for quality control. If the inspection is faulty, the component is sorted out. If the inspection is successful, the robot transfers the workpiece to the second robot. This then sorts the component into a box and the process is complete.
