Automated assembly for an indian Notebook Manufacturer

In this customer test at an igus® subsidiary in India, a laptop manufacturer wanted to automate a bolting process within its assembly plant in India. The process was extensively tested with an igus® gantry system in order to have certainty regarding the positioning accuracies and to be able to offer the customer the optimal solution.

igus gantries include pre-configured drylin linear modules and linear axes with igus stepper motors, as well as all the components required for self-assembly. Typical applications of our gantry robots are pick and place, conveyor belt picking and stacking tasks in multi-dimensional space. Our gantries are largely made of our tribologically optimised plastics and enable high cost savings.
